waxing...

Waxing is a great way of removing all that unwanted hair.  It is quick and effective and can last for up to 4-6 weeks.  At Beauty by Tara we use Clean & Easy hot wax for our Brazilians and Hollywoods and Tea Tree wax for all other treatments.

Clean & Easy Hot Wax
Our Clean & Easy hot wax is used mainly for our Brazilian and Hollywood treatments, although it can also be used on other areas of the body.  A couple of layers of wax is applied to the area of the body being treated using a spatula.  For hygene reasons a used spatula is never returned to the waxing pot - a new one is used for each application of wax.  The wax is then allowed to harden for a few moments before it is removed by hand - without the use of waxing strips. Tea Tree After Wax Lotion is then applied.

Tea Tree Wax
In our opinion this has a gentler and more soothing effect on the skin compared to many of the other waxes on the market.  Tea Tree wax is used for all our facial, arm, leg and bikini treatments. It helps to reduce unwanted redness after treatment.  After each wax we apply Tea Tree After Wax Lotion to soothe the skin.
